Celebration of Pilot semester & Open House rescheduled to Tuesday Feb 26th

The YLS Open House and pilot semester Celebration event has been rescheduled for Tuesday Feb 26th. Time and location will be announced shortly.

Extended: Registration for YLS Sept 2019 has been extended to March 1st

The YLS pilot year has been a SUCCESS! YLS will be offered a 2nd year - fall 2019, with some administrative adjustments from 2018. The Application deadline has been extended until March 1st due to logistical timing challenges over the past 3 weeks. Read through programming details in "Program" and "Setting" and then click on "Get Involved" to read the Frequently Asked Questions and to apply.

About YLS

Youth Leadership in Sustainability is an innovative 1-semester program that will prepare grade 11 and 12 students for leadership roles in sustainability initiatives at the local and global levels.

YLS is a partnership with the Kawartha Pine Ridge DSB, Trent University, the Kawartha World Issues Centre (KWIC) and Fleming College.

Our classroom is on Trent University campus and at PCVS, and the program will take us into the community, the forests and the region!
